GREAT NEWS! Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are back after making an agreement with Amazon Video!
Ever since Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘fracas’ with BBC producer Oisin Tymon, the future of his career, along with his co-hosts, Richard Hammond and James May, remained up in the air.
Constant rumors bounced back and forth regarding the fate of three most popular television hosts in all of motoring shows, with some speculating that American-based streaming service, Netflix, was going to scoop them up in a big deal to start an all-new car show.
But just now, Jeremy Clarkson tweeted to break official news that Richard Hammond, James May, and himself have officially signed a deal with Amazon Video and their online streaming service, to bring an all-new car show.
I’m very excited to announce that Hammond, May and I have signed a deal with .@AmazonVideo

This is not only a big deal for Top Gear UK fans, but for Amazon as well, given that the trio have been able to make Top Gear UK the world’s most watched factual program with a massive audience of around 350 million regular viewers per year, spanning hundreds of countries. And to make things even better, former creative guru and chief behind Top Gear UK, Andy Wilman, will be joining them on the project.
It’s important to note that not everyone has Amazon Prime, which is the sole subscription service that will allow viewers to access the show as The Wall Street Journal reports that Amazon is also working to license the shows with local broadcasters.
Either way, get excited, because the three best TV hosts in all of car television are about to return. Hoorah!
