Ok ok, we know cats and the Internet go hand-in-hand for being one of the best sources of distractions from the grinds of our daily lives. But they’re not exactly meant to be so distracting that they cause you to crash, which is literally what happened to a South Nashville driver.
According to The Tennesseean, a man crashed into a utility light pole, knocking out power to nearly 400 residents in the area after being distracted by…a litter of kittens in his car.
We get it, some of you, like your Editor-In-Chief here, can’t help but be swayed by some of the cutest, most adorable animals on the planet. But like texting or talking on the phone while driving, a distraction is a distraction.
Luckily, the driver managed to walk away from the accident with minor injuries and the report indicates that none of the kittens were injured in the incident either. Power was later restored to those 400 residents.
