Have you been waiting patiently for your order for the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang to be fulfilled? Well, don’t fret, as Ford officially confirmed that production has commenced at the automaker’s plant in Flat Rock, Michigan.
The Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang was first revealed at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show when Ford’s Performance brand was having a field day, promising even more intense performance than the already credible and amazing sixth generation Mustang.
Boasting a flat-plane crank V8 (that’s Ferrari territory) displacing 5.2L, it produces none other than 526hp and 429 lb-ft of twist, mated exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Next to the racing-bred V8, the Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang hosts a handful of other performance upgrades, all designed to make this Pony car the most capable and track-ready Ford Mustang ever built.
