The all-new 2016 Mazda Miata is making waves and quite the impression. But how good is it when compared to the segment leader before it, the Subaru BRZ?
MotorTrend’s Head2Head YouTube segment finds out with back-to-back driving impressions on both the road and the track.
For those who like to magazine race, the 2016 Mazda Miata comes with a naturally-aspirated 2.0L four-banger with 155hp and 148 lb-ft of twist, and it’s quite the featherweight, tipping the scale at just 2,296lbs.
The 2016 Subaru BRZ also comes with a naturally-aspirated 2.0L four-pot with 200hp and 151 lb-ft of twist, but it weighs a whopping 463lbs heavier. And that’s because it’s a much larger car as well, hence the extra power. But obviously, the Subaru’s four is of the boxer type.
Both come with a six-speed manual.
So, which one reigns as the victor?
Find out after the jump.
