Enthusiast site GM Authority reports Chevrolet is keen on introducing more diesel-powered cars to the American market, even after Volkswagen’s latest Dieselgate scandal, on top of the already preexisting stigma diesel has in the US.
Diesels certainly have grown very popular, even after the bad image they have in America and the popularity continues to be growing, especially in the truck market where GM found a niche market and filled it, with the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon Duramax models.
Specifics weren’t aplenty, but given General Motors’ massive diesel passenger car offerings across the pond thanks to their European division, and their desire to globalize their cars, the chance for an increase in oil burners is favorable for our market.
