Volvo’s lineup overhaul is in full effect after being kicked off with the 2015 XC90.
Next is the replacement of Volvo’s flagship sedan, the S80, dubbed the S90. After a few photo leaks of some scale models of the new S90 provided a solid idea as to what to expect on the outside, some new photos surfaced of the interior of the new S90.
Unsurprisingly, the interior of the S90 closely resembles that of the new XC90.
From what we know, the new S90 is going to be built using Volvo’s latest Scalable Product Architecture, like the XC90. That said, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to also expect the same power and drivetrains as the XC90, including the latest twin-charged hybridized inline-four serving duty in the top-of-the-line T8 XC90.
Not much else is known, but the S90 should go on sale first in China with launches occurring in other markets later on.
