Some preliminary spy shots of the next generation 2017 Opel Insignia surfaced, showcasing a completely new body design with more of a four-door coupe-like profile.
This can be obviously seen with its long and sloping roof and heavily raked windshield.
Not much is known about the new Insignia just yet, though we’re expecting an increase in size for the sedan in addition to a reduction in wight by some 200kg, or 441lbs as it rides on a new predecessor.
For the more relevant news to the US market, these changes should also be expected for our next Buick Regal since the current model is basically a reengineered and rebadged version of the current Insignia. GM is expected to continue this trend by basically rebadging and slightly reworking the 2017 Opel Insignia to be our new Regal.
