Video: Watch how the Ferrari F12tdf’s rear-wheel steering system works

2016 Ferrari F12tdf

Ferrari released a quick short video about how the newly announced F12tdf’s rear-steering system works in order to improve handling.

It is of the active type, which enables the F12tdf to corner at high speeds while increasing responsiveness.

The rear-steering system is dubbed the Virtual Short Wheelbase or Passo Corto Virtuale, and boosts the F12tdf’s stability at speed and factors in a whole bunch of parameters, such as the car’s speed, steering input and angle, and adjusts the angle of the rear wheels accordingly.

Rear steering systems aren’t particularly new, but given how this system is found on the latest Ferrari F12, it could possibly one of the best in the industry.

Check out the video after the jump.
