Jaguar-Land Rover had a field day at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show and the latest F-Pace crossover was one of the key reveals at this year’s festivities.
Landing its paws officially on North American soil for the first time, the F-Pace isn’t exactly new, since it was first launched at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show in September. But this is the first time its in the US officially.
As a reminder, the F-Pace is designed to compete against the likes of the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Audi Q7 and friends. Built on an aluminum platform in combination with high-strength steel, magnesium and other lightweight and sturdy materials, the Jaguar F-Pace promises to be the lightest in its class with a clever suspension design specifically catered to ride quality and handling. There’s also 50/50 weight distribution to make sure things stay balance din the corners.
Power is expected to be provided by Jaguar-Land Rover’s latest line of Ingenium engines, including a 3.0L supercharged V6 in two forms with 340hp and 380hp with a new 2.0L Ingenium turbodiesel four with 180hp and 317 lb-ft of twist later on in the production cycle.
