Ford doesn’t seem to want to stop with its new Ford Performance branch as AutoCar reports the Dearborn automaker, specifically the European division, might just get around to producing an even more powerful version of the Focus RS, all in an effort to beat down the Audi RS3.
So far, we’re already stoked for the all-new Ford Focus RS, expected to debut soon with around 345hp and lots of high-performance tech to make it one of the hottest hatches yet, with a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds.
Nothing has been officially confirmed, but the new faster Focus RS is currently being “discussed” and is on the drawing table for consideration. It would speculatively use a more powerful version of the 2.3L EcoBoost four-banger with an upgraded manual transmission, more aggressive suspension and steering tuning, and upgrades to the limited-slip differentials and all-wheel drive gear.
As of now, the new Ford Focus RS is expected to surface in January of 2016.
