The 2016 Geneva Auto Show is beginning to flood the newswires and Maserati just hopped on board to tease the highly-anticipated Levante crossover.
Promised to be the savior for the automaker since crossovers are unbelievably hot in demand, and highly touted by Mr. Fiat himself, Sergio Marchionne, the new Levante is one of the many highlights with expectations at Geneva this year.
Maserati has been “talking” about a crossover for quite a few years, and after lots of debate and pondering about, it’s finally here.
We’re expecting it to ride on a similar platform as the latest Quattroporte since it’s of the modular type. This means similar powerplants too, such as the same Ferrari-developed twin-turbocharged V6 as the Quattrporte, as well as a V8 option for the more expensive models. All are to be mated to a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic with all-wheel drive as standard.
Expect more information to surface as we get closer to Geneva.
