Photo Leak: This is the hot new 2017 Volvo V90 estate

2017 Volvo V90 Photo Leak

It seems some official photos of the 2017 Volvo V90 have been leaked onto the web, and here they are.

The 2017 Volvo V90 is no mystery to the long list of new cars we’re expecting this year, after being revealed in diecast model form, and through various other teasers as well.

But now, the latest media appears to not be of the amateur type, but of the official instead. And it gives us the cleanest look at the V90 yet.

The 2017 Volvo V90 is obviously based off of the recent S90 Sedan and is basically that car, but with a long roof. It’s also Volvo’s first full-size wagon since the last V90 in the late 1990s. And even then, Volvo retired the V70 from the US market a few years back due to slow sales. However, its lifted crossover variant, the XC70, continues to be offered.

As expected, the Volvo V90 heavily resembles the drop-dead gorgeous 2014 Concept Estate and the work has certainly paid off in the aesthetics department.

Because it is based off of the S90 Sedan and thus, the large XC90 crossover, since they do all share the same platform, the new V90 is expected to be offered with the same range of engines and transmission combinations as the previous two. This means the top-spec T8 version will get a hybrid powertrain with 410hp. Yes people, that’s a 410hp Volvo wagon that’s not a Polestar model.

Speaking of which, there’s even rumors of a new Polestar version in the works starting with the said T8 version. That means more power, more performance, better handling, and just more of everything.

The V90 will take a bow in Geneva next month and for the love of motoring, Volvo, please send it to us.
