Some publicity surrounding TVR and their latest revival happened and AutoCar, along with TVR themselves, shared some details about what to expect for the new car. If you forgot or aren’t in the know, TVR announced their revival a while back after ownership for the car division changed hands and was bought by a British entrepreneur, from its lame-duck, previous Russian owner.

Firstly, there’s a video teaser of the new model, which you can see HERE. It shows the front of the car being painted in black-and-white on a canvas, and it gives away the car’s front design. It’s also followed by two of TVR’s classic models from the past–in other words, it makes for a great mural.
OK! But, the car itself!
According to AutoCar, the new model will arrive in late 2017 and so far, around 400 deposits have been made. It will use a Ford-sourced Cosworth V8, based off of the Coyote 5.0L V8 for the Mustang GT. That engine was teased on the dyno as well, for TVR’s application. 400hp is expected as well as a sprint to 62 in less than four seconds, while weighing in at around 2,535lbs. The best part, it will only cost 65,000 GBP, which is relatively cheaper than other cars offering similar performance.
TVR’s new owner, Les Edgar, also said he wanted to revive TVR’s mission of providing supercars for the common man.
And it sounds like they’re back with one.
