Ford’s latest hot hatch, the Focus RS, is apparently running a little behind schedule as the Dearborn automaker reportedly is a bit back-ordered from high demand.
The Truth About Cars heard about the news and says that Ford is so behind, they cancelled around 220 customer orders for the 2016 model-year car and instead, replaced the orders for 2017 model year cars.
“Customers with changed 2017 Focus RS orders will be prioritized and experience almost no delay in delivery of their vehicle,” Ford spokesperson, Matt Leaver, said to Motor1 in a supporting report.
Demand has everything bottlenecked at the Saarlouis factory in Germany, where the Focus RS is being made. As a result, customers might face some monthly delays, however Ford promises they shouldn’t be much further behind.
