2016 Pagani Huayra R spotted testing - first pictures

A faster, more focused version of the Pagani Huayra has been seen testing for the first time

This is a new version of the Pagani Huayra, which is likely to be revealed at the Geneva motor show in 2016.

Rumours have circulated for a while that a higher performance variant of the Huayra is on the cards. With Pagani's previous model, the Zonda, there were various special edition variants, and based on those, the most likely name for this variant is Huayra R.

Although the model pictured is heavily disguised, there is an obvious front splitter on the car which is not on the standard Huayra. The exhausts are larger than those of the standard Huayra, too, and the braking system visible through the wheels appears to be different.

The standard Huayra is powered by a an AMG-sourced twin-turbocharged V12 which delivers 730bhp and propels the Huayra to 60mph in 3.2sec. The benchmark for any hotter Huayra would be current-generation hypercars such as the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari.
