We already know Mercedes-Benz is in the works with an all-new S-Class convertible, a first since the beloved and signature W111 convertibles from the 1960s and 1970s.
It was first previewed by a digital rendering, officially supplied by Stuttgart themselves. But now, Merc just released the first official picture of the all-new S-Class Cabriolet, alongside the aforementioned legendary W111. This adds to the list of other models revealed by Mercedes, including the new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe and the highly-anticipated 2017 E-Class sedan.
Mercedes fans have been clamoring for a new large convertible, which harks back to the days of big-bodied, open top motoring. And if you noticed, such types of convertibles have been quite absent from the market, except for the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead.
Either way, we couldn’t be more excited to see the return of the S-Class Convertible. Now, perhaps Cadillac could revive their history of making big-bodied luxury convertibles to compete…
