Honda’s just about launching the new 2016 Civic sedan and soon, the all-new 2016 Honda Civic Coupe will follow.
But first, it has to show itself off at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show and that’s what it did recently at the LA Convention Center.
Due for a launch sometime within the next year, the new 2016 Honda Civic Coupe follows the way of the sedan aesthetically by essentially being a sedan with two-less doors. It also very closely resembles the Civic Coupe Concept from the 2015 New York International Auto Show.
And that’s perfectly OK since the sedan is currently the best looking Civic four-door ever, the coupe also takes the cake as being the best looking Civic Coupe ever made.
Of course, similarly to the sedan as well, the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe gets the same line of new mills, including the base 2.0L naturally-aspirated four with 158hp and and 138 lb-ft of twist, 15hp and nine lb-ft more than the outgoing 1.8L base engine. The upper-level engine is a Honda’s latest 1.5L turbocharged and direct-injected four-banger, offering 174hp and 162 lb-ft of twist. The 2.0L is available with a six-speed manual while the 1.5L can only be had with a CVT.
