Spy Shot: This snapshot is the best glimpse we’ve gotten of the Bugatti Chiron yet

Bugatti’s follow-up to the legendary Veyron is on its way, and it’s called the Chiron. Though, they have yet to officially reveal the car because it’s still being researched and developed.

They have however, teased the car with a preview of their Vision Gran Turismo Concept, which also teases the motorsports version of the Chiron. But more importantly, it also teases the Chiron itself thanks to its overall shape and proportions.

Now, some spy shots surfaced of the new Chiron’s test prototype, giving us the best look at the possible glimpse into the production mode, due in some time.

The Chiron’s shape strongly resembles that of the Vision Gran Turismo Concept, though the design is expectedly far more refined than the original Veyron, with a cleaner profile, crisper lines and curves, and that signature C-shaped B-pillar that starts at the A-pillar, and lines the side of the roof. Speaking of which, the roof is much sleeker with a low-slung line that spans the length of the car, from the windscreen to the rear fascia.

From the preexisting rumors, the Chiron is said to maintain the Veyron’s W16 tmill, though with extensive changes and new technology, such as electric turbochargers. A power output of nearly 1,500hp is expected.

Being the Veyron successor, a price equivalent to an extremely nice house is also anticipated, around 2.2 million euros to be exact, along with a strict limited production run. Thankfully, despite project cuts caused by Volkswagen’s Dieselgate, the Veyron is still on track with its development and launch.
