Just on the heals of the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz chose the calm-before-the-storm news-scape to steal some attention by leaking official images of the all-new 2017 E-Class.
As anticipated, it sports an exterior profile and aesthetic that strongly resembles the larger S-Class and smaller C-Class sedans.
The front-end sports a similar protruding chrome-grille up front with similarly-styled wraparound headlights, and a clean front lower-fascia with three large openings, rather than a bunch of edgy and curvy smaller ones for a much more sophisticated and toned-down appearance.
The roofline is obviously raked and the back window is sloped lightly for an almost four-door coupe-like silhouette, also like the C-Class and S-Class.
The new E-Class, because of its slick design, also comes with a drag coefficient reading of just 0.23, with a total length of around 193.8 inches.
Powertrain details haven’t been officially released yet, but the new E-Class is expected to come with a new range of gas and diesel engines for both Europe and America.
More details soon, so stay tuned to our homepage or to this post for updates.
