Report: Judge finally rules Porsche not at fault for Paul Walker’s death

In an ongoing lawsuit filed by Roger Rodas’ wife, Kristine, who accused the German sports car maker for the Carrera GT that caused the death of Rodas and Fast and Furious icon Paul Walker, a U.S. District Judge officially ruled that Porsche is not at fault for the death of the two men.

Rodas’ lawsuit preposterously claimed that the Carrera GT lacked several “key safety features,” such as a “crash cage” and fuel cell. The suit also went on to try and bash Porsche for the Carrera GT’s suspension, which allegedly broke before the crash in an attempt to attribute a cause.

But as expected, the lawsuit failed, as U.S. District Judge Philip S. Gutierrez stated, ““[The] plaintiff has provided no competent evidence that Rodas’ death occurred as a result of any wrongdoing on the part of [the] defendant.”

Additionally, despite overwhelming evidence and claims from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol, following thorough investigations, Rodas plans to appeal the decision. Porsche is still dealing with two other lawsuits, one from Paul Walker’s daughter, Meadow, and Paul Walker’s father, both for the same reasons.
