Rumormill: A Ferrari theme park could surface somewhere in North America, possibly the US

Ferrari seems to really be expanding their marketing reach, following the company’s IPO within the last year or so. A new report from Bloomberg says Ferrari could potentially be opening another theme park. But it’s not in Europe and Asia, where there’s Ferrari Land opening in Barcelona in 2017 and Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.

Instead, it’s said to be planned for North America and quite possibly, the United States. Well, yea, where else would it go? Mexico isn’t exactly the safest and most stable place and Canada’s just, well, cold. No offense intended.

Not much is known, but speculation points to similarities to the eventual park in Spain and the one already in Abu Dhabi, unsurprisingly, to match the theme, which is the point of a theme park.

Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi is also quite the arrangement to be inspired by since it is the largest indoor theme park in the world, and is the first-ever of its kind.

It provides everything from family rides, to the world’s fastest rollercoaster (naturally), and Ferrari propaganda featuring biopics of Mr. Enzo himself and staged tours of a replication of the automaker’s factory in Maranello.

A theme park might seem a bit of an odd project within the company’s portfolio, but Ferrari has reported steady revenue in many ways from Ferrari World, hence the expansion into Spain and thus, North America.
