One of the coolest things to happen in the automotive world in terms of gadgets includes Tesla’s Ludicrous mode, which basically is a “boost” function for the EV, giving the Model S P90 the ability to sprint to sixty in under three seconds. It costs an additional $10,000 however.
Ludicrous mode will also be available for the P85 and more recently, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, hopped on to Twitter to confirm that the new Model 3 will also get the option for Ludicrous Model.
Though specifics weren’t revealed for the Model 3.
As of this post, the Model 3 racked up an insane list of 400,000 preorders with $1000 refundable deposits left with them. It will go towards the Model 3’s base price of $35,000.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2017, though Ludicrous Mode will probably be made available afterwards.
