Porsche teases the next-gen Panamera, which clearly gets a bit less ugly

2017 Porsche Panamera Teasers

Porsche’s current and first generation Panamera has been a smash hit, despite its polarizing looks. Now, Zuffenhausen is just on the brink of revealing the new car and so they decided to tease the second generation model.

Through observing the teasers, the new Panamera clearly gets a much smaller dose of ugly than the original car, which has the aesthetic aural of a bright red baboon’s ass. Actually, I’d even go as far as saying that the new Panamera doesn’t appear to have the same dosage of ugly at all, and that’s a good thing as it’s based off of the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept from 2012–a very attractive and good looking concept to boot.

So naturally, the Sport Turismo was seen as a hint for what to expect with Porsche’s new design language for the next generation of cars.

We already know a second generation Panamera is on the way because it is one of Porsche’s best-selling models and numerous spy shots were taken of Porsche’s test mules. Overall, the new Panamera looks to be sleeker, more clean-cut, and less disproportionate with its curves.

Though, because this is just a teaser, not much is known about the new Panamera, other than it’s expected to be revealed in the near-future and launched at the end of the year as a 2017 model car. Expect the usual range of force-fed V6 and V8 motors, with rumors floating about of a potential new turbocharged four-cylinder variant in the works as well.

But until Porsche spills the beans, we have these teasers.
